You can meditate anywhere, anytime, and under any circumstances. Meditation is just awareness.

Awareness means you know what you are thinking, what you are feeling, what you are doing. Many people think that meditation is very difficult. A practice where you have to sit in a particular position, place your hands a certain way, empty your mind, and think of nothing. A way to have constant piece. This is not exactly correct. Thoughts come and go. Feelings come and go. But you are aware of them.

The key to successful meditation is not to set expectations too high. Instead, just say to yourself, "I will try my best to meditate. Maybe it will be good. Maybe not. But I will continue to try."

This way your mind will not fixate on the result but on the experience. For most people it is a slow, methodical process.

Meditation is very personal so progress is individual. One person will develop quickly while another person will take longer. Neither way is better or worse.

The key to successful meditation is to practice consistently. Practice every day for short periods of time. It will become a habit. It will become easier to do and your awareness will become more acute.
