Become Aware of Awareness

There are two kinds of awareness.

One is normal awareness. It is the five senses of sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. You experience these sensations constantly. All day. Every day. But you are unaware that you are aware. These senses are recognized by your brain and automatically stored away.
The second kind of awareness is meditative awareness. This is where you become aware of your awareness. For example, you hear a sound and your brain says that is a bird, a voice, a bell, etc. and it is quickly stored in your brain.
But with practice you can be more fully aware of that sound thru meditation. You can learn to focus on that sound. Only on that sound. And in doing so you enter a meditative state of mind where that sound becomes pure, calm, peaceful. You become aware of your awareness listening only to that sound. Nothing else. There are no schedules, no work, no expectations. You are aware of only the sound.
Your body relaxes. Your mind relaxes. All of your awareness is resting on the sound. Your mind becomes calm and peaceful.
Meditative awareness is a way to escape the torment and fear you constantly feel. It is something that takes constant practice. Something you choose to use to free your mind for a brief moment. For that short period you can push aside all other thoughts and sensations and give your mind a chance to relax.
I know this sounds a little bizarre. A little crazy. A little too simple. But I promise you it works. It is not a permanent fix but it will help you change your thought process and give you a moment of love again.
